As huge technology fans, we wanted to infect others with our passion and show off it’s capabilities and versatility, especially when it comes to education. We created an educational laboratory – SkriLab – based on 3D printing, programming and robotics. The laboratory includes, among others: 3D printer, educational robots, building blocks, online tools for 3D modeling and Skriware Academy – an online platform dedicated to teachers. SkriLab is suitable for 8 lesson subjects such as biology, maths, geography, physics, chemistry, early school education, IT or technique. Main goal of SkriLab is to develop creativity, independent problem solving and critical thinking skills using modern tools to create hands-on experience.
With the current technological advancement and its speed, most educational models worldwide are not really suited for challenges that students will face when they enter future job market. Our goal is to spark their interest in learning and ignite passion in STEAM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, Mathematics). Using modern hardware and software combined with suitable curriculum we believe Skriware can make education fun and well adapted to the needs of 21. century. It is a perfect combination to engage children and prepare them for the challenges of today’s world.
SkriLab is the perfect solution for School Principals who want their school and teaching staff to grow. It increases the competences of the staff and engages both Teachers and Students, offering them the opportunity to participate in an education system tailored to the requirements of today’s world. It proves that technological preparation is not only an obligation, but also a supporting ally in the effective transfer and acquisition of knowledge. By implementing a single, unified system that is accessible to a wide circle of Teachers:
The school management increases the chances of using technology in the classroom regularly.
Teachers gain the opportunity to implement an innovative approach in shaping the knowledge and interests of students.
Students gain access to engaging, fascinating and modern education that stimulates curiosity and critical thinking skills.
Compliance with educational standards
SkriLab is ISTE standard aligned and certified by Education Alliance Finland as a well-designed educational solution that aligns with learning science principles. It also got the official Seal of Alignment with ISTE Standards for Students stating that it aligns well with the ISTE Standards for Students and provides integration into design thinking, computational thinking, and group collaboration.
